Research has found that LGBTQ+ people with a learning disability face ‘double discrimination’ because of their sexuality or gender, whether that be through bullying or a lack of acknowledgement. There has also been research into the confluence of neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ identities, with similar prejudices still creating barriers for queer neurodivergent people who are questioned over whether they fully understand their own sexuality or gender identity. As part of Pride this year we’ve collated a list of resources on the topic.
