We are a professional producing company working to pioneer, produce and promote opportunities for actors with learning disabilities and/or autism.
The heart of our work is always our learning disabled and/or autistic artists, who constantly challenge perceptions of what theatre and film can be and how they should be made. Performances that change the way that we perceive the world are the performances that remain with us forever. This is what we aspire to make.Â
Hijinx’s work is bold, vibrant, anarchic and honest because our artists are bold, vibrant, anarchic and honest. As artists together, both neurodivergent and neurotypical, we present a world that champions inclusion and challenges perceptions.Â
Our work is loved at a local and regional level but has a global reputation for excellence.Â
Our Academies across Wales provide world class professional performance training and we also hold weekly courses and classes so that you can learn essential life skills through drama and meet new people. Â
We’re recognised for our role as experienced trainers and we provide award-winning specialist programmes to help businesses and organisations demonstrate their commitment to inclusivity and diversity. This empowers staff with the confidence and skills to communicate well with vulnerable customers and challenges their existing perceptions.
With funding support from Creative Wales, we are excited to announce the development of our new Learning Disability Inclusion training for the screen industry, ReFocus.
Find Out MoreDiversity and inclusivity are values which we will continue to live and work by. With this is mind, we’re proud to have signed Race Council Cymru’s Zero Racism Policy as a recognition of our commitment to give equal opportunities to people who experience racism.
