Unity Festival 2024.
Unity Festival 2024 was a great success! Thanks to everyone who came to see a performance, to all the wonderful performers and crews, to our funders, our suppliers, our venues and our volunteers. This year we had visiting artists come from Spain, Italy, Brazil, New Zealand and more. The festival took place in Cardiff from 3 – 7 July, with satellite programmes taking place in Bangor (27 June) and Llanelli (29 June) too.

Free Performances.
At this year’s festival in Cardiff we had a fantastic programme of free performances from Chloe Loftus, Shedan Theater, Danza Mobile, Dança sem Fronteiras, CÃa. Vero Cendoya, Ramshacklicious, EGO Arts, Organik Dantza, Blaumeier-Atelier, tanzbar_bremen and our community theatre groups Odyssey and Telemachus.
Ticketed Performances.
We also had a great programme of ticketed evening events: Skin, Muscle and Bone by Chris Tally-Evans and Dança sem Fronteiras, UNDRESSED by tanzbar_bremen, CHOO CHOO! by StammerMouth, C’est BEAU! by Compagnie DK-BEL, the Unity Festival Comedy Night, House of Deviant: Untied and the Vaguely Artistic Unity Festival Party. A mixture of dance, theatre, comedy, drag and music, there was something for everyone.
Unity Expanded.
This year we also featured Unity Expanded, a free exhibition of three works by disabled artists and creators working in immersive technology, which audiences could experience in Bocs in the Wales Millennnium Centre.
Satellite Programmes.
We took satellite versions of Unity Festival to Pontio in Bangor and Ffwrnes in Llanelli again, programming a great lineup of free performances for the public and for schools.
