Unity Film Festival 2024.
The second edition of Unity Film Festival took place in November this year. We were so pleased with the response to this new element of Unity Festival and want to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to support it.
Bringing the best of inclusive films from across the world to Chapter, Cardiff, the second edition of Hijinx’s Unity Film Festival was bursting with exciting, thought-provoking and distinctive features and shorts. With documentaries, animations, dramas, comedies, sci-fi, costume drama and everything in between, there was something for everyone, including a special session for younger audiences. Every film screened had been made by or with people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
This year’s film festival included the world premiere of our short documentary film Lost & Found, which was made in partnership with Great Western Railway.
It also saw the Wales premiere of Back to Back Theatre’s feature film Shadow.
We had some lovely feedback about the festival this year too.
Excellent opportunity to bring my family to see beautiful short films.

The three films that I watched during the festival were absolutely incredible and I feel like I’ve spoken about them to everyone who’ll listen! Moving, thought provoking, hilarious, interesting, outright brilliant!
