Elin Mair Roberts.
My name is Elin Roberts, I’m 22 and I am currently in my third and final year studying the BA Art and design course in Coleg Menai, Bangor. I worked alongside my friend and fellow student Jessica to create a series of prints depicting the members of the Pathways theatre group, their interests, as well as elements inspired by the Poem ‘A child’s christmas in Wales’, which will be a part of their Christmas project. Thank you to Hijinx for having us as a part of the exhibition again this year!
Jessica Chun.
My name is Jessica Chun, and I am currently in my final year of (BA) Hons Arts and Design in Bangor Parc Menai. I like working with different art mediums, but mainly incorporating traditional art like markers and pencils with digital.
I like to illustrate experiences of moments that are memorable, which is why this is my second time creating art for the Hijinx project which was a great opportunity. Meeting the fun lovely group in Zoom was great and a valuable experience for me because I got to know the group. They were fun and cheerful to work with.
In 3 pieces of lino print is a collaborative work with my colleague Elin Mair who is also in the same course as I am. The art medium we’ve used is called Lino printing with water base oil ink, we’ve craved the patterns in each blocks and incorporated some festive coloured paper. They represent the Christmas vibes and joyous moments shared during our zoom meeting.
We’ve really enjoyed these moments with them, playing games and listening in on how their days went.
It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Hijinx on this project and I look forward to working with them in the future.
