I’d never done anything like this before, and Jon’s openness, curiosity, care, focus and humour made the sessions engaging, fun, exploratory and really useful.

Would you recommend your coach and, if so, why?
I would highly recommend Jon as a coach! He made me feel welcomed, relaxed and comfortable to discuss personal insights and provided me with suggestions and links so I left each session with a better understanding of myself and my thoughts. The sessions were always enjoyable and thought provoking. I always felt inspired, motivated and excited after each session to go away and work on challenges set by Jon and to develop on what was discussed in each session. He had a great understanding of what I needed to explore which has been a significant source in planting seeds towards my future aspirations.
What strengths does your coach have?
The ability to understand what topics I may need to explore to overcome any barriers I may have created for myself, empathy, great listening skills, professionalism, being a friendly and reassuring coach to make the sessions as enjoyable as possible, understanding.
The coaching experience with Jon has been such a rewarding and encouraging one! Jon has been amazing at providing thought provoking challenges but also helping me to understand and explore these ideas. He creates an open, safe, friendly and positive space for discussion leaving me with a sense of motivation and encouragement after each session to really develop and grow as a person and as a practitioner within the theatre industry.

What did you get from our work together?
Someone to join me in exploring issues, thought patterns and (unhelpful) actions… someone to reflect back what I said so as to aid me in exploring it further… someone with curiosity, humour and focus to keep sessions positive and on track. More specifically, Jon enabled me [..] in living life more adventurously and therefore happier!
Would you recommend your coach and, if so, why?
Yes, totally. Jon was appropriately serious, humorous, focused, challenging, curious, excited and caring.
I had 6 sessions with JDK coaching and found it a really positive, affirming experience. I’d never done anything like this before, and Jon’s openness, curiosity, care, focus and humour made the sessions engaging, fun, exploratory and really useful. I discovered both the question I needed to ask myself, and some simple actions, sayings and pointers which have directly improved elements of my life and sense of wellbeing. Diolch Jon!

Would you recommend your coach and, if so, why?
Absolutely – Jon has a very gentle presence – gently noticing and teasing things from you. Didn’t at all feel judged but supported. I also felt very safe – I did think it made a difference that he was a Gay Coach.
What strengths does your coach have?
Jon is caring, supportive, deeply present, non-judgemental and compassionate.
Jon’s gentle provocations and insightful coaching practice provided a much needed stepping off point in which to explore where I am right now as a practitioner. Jon works alongside, and as my collaborator he supported me to unlock something so fundamental to my purpose and passion which in turn has enabled me to view myself in a kinder, more compassionate way.
