We all seek interaction, connection and validation. The light before us promises us all this and more. The glow of our mobile phones invites us to be appreciated, cherished and loved. The challenge of stepping out on stage offers us something similar.

As the performers emerge from the darkness and into the light, are they illuminated or are they exposed? Do we dare step into the light? Are we merely moths to its flame?
