Grumpy Unicorns

About the show.

As beautiful as moonlight, Unicorns hold a special place in our collective imaginations. And it turns out they are real! But they’ve got beef. “We’re Unicorns, get over it. We know what you want: to pet us and take pictures and use our magic. But we have had enough! Just leave us alone.” Grumpy Unicorns is what it says on the tin; the magic of discovering unicorns are in fact real (!), and humanity’s consequence for failing to take them seriously.

Cast & Crew (on tour).

This inclusive street theatre performance features 4 Grumpy Unicorn performers, 2 of whom have a learning disability and/or Autism. 1 technician and 1 creative enabler also support the performance on tour. (Total 6 on tour).

Tech Requirements.

'Grumpy Unicorns' needs a playing space of at least 8m wide & 6m depth. Preferably to be performed at street/ground level, rather than on a raised stage. This is a static performance, with audience interaction/participation, and can include 'walk-about' if requested by host. PA is required, but this could be something portable rather than a full set-up.

SO MUCH FUN! I never get involved with audience participation, but how could I resist a dance with those Grumpy Unicorns?!

Great to have live stuff happening again, and something as joyful as fluffy human hybrid unicorns! You could tell both spectators and performers had a great time.
