The Family Pod

Director: Ben Pettitt-Wade
Assistant Director: Alys Jenkins
Designer: Mary Drummond
Performers: Various

The Family Pod was an interactive piece of mask theatre with up to 8 performers for family and young audiences. An ode to looking at the world with fresh eyes. Over the course of half an hour the world expanded for The Family as they explore their new surroundings, which included you, the audience.

Since its creation in 2008 for our very first Unity Festival, it has performed at numerous events and festivals, including Festival Escena Mobile in Seville, Maindee Festival in Newport, Bevan Foundation Inclusion Event in Cardiff and in the Welsh Assembly as part of their Open Day 2010.

Here's a short clip of our performance of The Family at Festival Escena Mobile 2011 in Seville.
