Drama Workshops for Learning Disabled Adults

Are you, or do you know, a talented performer with a learning disability or autism who is keen to develop their acting skills?

Hijinx are establishing a permanent Academy (professional training for actors) and a Drama Foundation course (life skills through drama) in West Wales.

Hijinx will be holding 2 days of free taster workshops and auditions for anyone interested in joining one of these courses. On each day there will be 2 different workshops:

  • Academy (professional performance training) – a 2 hour session and unsupported audition for adults with learning disabilities or autism who are looking to establish a professional career in the performing arts
  • Drama Foundation (life skills through drama) – a 2 hour session for people with learning disabilities or autism who enjoy drama for fun

Immediately after each workshop there will be an opportunity for parents and carers to meet with Hijinx to talk to them about the proposed Academy and Drama Foundation.

Wednesday 8 or Thursday 9 April 2015
