Bang is an annual residential summer school for young people aged 11 - 15. It takes place over 2 weeks in August, with one week in English and one week in Welsh. Throughout the week the young people take part in workshops in drama, dance, music and writing, culminating in a sharing performance in the Glanfa area of the WMC at the end of the week.

Bang2 This year we really pushed for the course to become an inclusive course by targeting special schools and Special Education Needs Officers in secondary schools. In the end we had 4 students with a learning disability on the English week course and 1 on the Welsh week, a number we will be looking to improve on next year.

Bang2 Because of my commitments on other projects at this time I employed Angharad Lee to run the sessions on our behalf and she did a fantastic job in bringing it all together. We also sourced the in session support for this project, employing Jaci Elrays from our Odyssey group for the English week and actress Cler Stephens for the Welsh week.

Bang2 The young people had a fantastic time on both weeks and worked really hard to put on lovely performances at the end of the week - well done to everyone!
