Bang!

This project was an exciting collaboration between Hijinx, Diversions Dance, Opera Max, the Urdd and WMC!
Bang! was an ambitious residential summer school for young people aged 11 - 15, with one week for English speakers and one week for Welsh speakers. Through the week participants got the chance to try their hand at drama, dance and music and work towards creating a multi-arts performance by the end of the week. This was then performed in the Glanfa of the Millennium Centre as a prelude to the smash hit show Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
For both weeks we had fantastic groups of young people, who enthusiastically tried out song writing, dancing the Meringa, mask making, film making and even a bit of acting among other things! Everyone seemed to have a great time, telling new found friends "see you next year" as they left at the end of a busy week.
Congratulations to everyone that took part - and look forward to meeting some of you again next year - watch this space for dates.
