Past Outreach Workshops
In Your Dreams
April - June 2008
Over 10 weeks members of Trinity Care Club in Porthcawl took part in workshops focused on their dreams, ambitions and what they would do on their "perfect day".
The group was made up of 15 adults with learning disabilities and their support staff, and while some of the group took to drama like ducks to water, for some it was a slower process. Gradually everyone began to come out of their shells and by the end of 10 weeks the group had built up enough confidence to perform some of their work infront of friends and family, which went down extremely well.
However this wasn't the only performance; the group also travelled to the Wales Millennium Centre and performed their piece in the Glanfa area of the building as part of the Undod/Unity festival to an audience of around 100 people! The journey the group had taken to do this was immense and their pride in their achievement infectious.
Many thanks to Trinity Care Club for investing in this project and we look forward to further partnerships in the future.
