Past Outreach Workshops

The Family
January - March 2008

Odyssey Pods are small groups of performers (up to 8), hand picked from our regular Odyssey Theatre group members, people on our Odyssey waiting list and participants of Outreach projects we think would benefit from the experience.

The aim is to produce new performance pieces each year, which can then be booked for events, festivals and conferences. This was our first year of producing pods and it was an exciting experience for all.

Spread over 8 sessions and a rehearsal weekend a group of 8 pod performers (made up of 3 actors with learning disability and 5 without) worked incredibly hard to create a wonderfully imaginative interactive masked performance piece.

The Family premiered at the Undod/Unity Festival at the Wales Millennium Centre with the cast resplendent in green costumes and masks, designed and made by Mary Drummond (check out the photos on the unity report!)

We are now looking to book The Family to perform at events and festivals, so if you missed the first performance watch this space.
