NewsUnity Festival comes to an endCeri legg on 06/07/2010 Back in the office after what has been an amazing week of events and performances. We'd like to thank all those who participated in workshops, attended performances and generally took part in what was a fabulous event. Our international visiting companies were amazing; Back to Back Theatre from Australia brought their wonderful 'Democratic Set' and gave us a memorable performance in the Weston Studio with Clownfish and Clownbaret from Barcelona and Tenerife providing laughs and tears with their manic creations throughout the week. There are so many companies and people to thank for what was a slam-dunk of a success this year including: Blue-Eyed Soul; Oska Bright Film Festival; Bridgend College and Maesteg College; Welsh National Opera; Tan Dance; Asi-Somos; Indepen-Dance; Woflgang Stange; The Impact Allstars; Community Music Wales; Touch Trust; Theatr Ffynnon; Chris Tally Evans; Amici Dance Theatre; Disability Arts Cymru's Unusual Stage School; Funky Love Posse; the inimitable Lizzie Emeh and particular thanks to the amazing staff at Wales Millennium Centre who entered wholeheartedly into the week's events - and last but not least MENCAP Cymru, partners in the festival organisation along with Wales Millennium Centre. |
