Gulliver 2009 written by Kit Lambert, directed by Louise Osborn.
In a unique and delightful style, Hijinx brings to life the weird and wonderful world of Gulliver's Travels, with its tiny Lilliputians, giants, mad scientists and even talking horses! Inspired by Jonathan Swift's fantastical satire, this biting new play explores the relationship between the mysterious Dr Gulliver and his tormented creator Swift, as they travel through the writer's unruly imagination and try not to lose their way.

The Other Woman 2008 written by Paul Swift, directed by Louise Osborn.
Set on a hill farm in South Wales during the First World War, the play explores the struggles of Megan Watkins, a young mother who is left alone in an isolated farmhouse when her husband goes off to war. When a young conscientious objector arrives at the farmhouse, seeking refuge Meg agrees to help him by disguising him as Mary Anne, her cousin from Cardiff, but Meg has no idea of the difficulties that will unfold when her husband returns from the front.

The Long Way Home 2007 written by Charles Way, directed by Louise Osborn.
The Long Way Home is a traditional folk tale from the heart of old Europe, brought magically to life through towering physical storytelling and music. A beautifully poignant story of friendship, danger and humour as two travelers face many hazards on their long journey.


Estella's Fire 2006 written by Louise Osborn, directed by Rosamunde Hutt.
As a young girl Estella was sent to live with an eccentrically reclusive old woman. She is locked away from the world, behind gated walls in a place where time stands still.
Everything is far from ordinary, until the hidden needs and desires of this vulnerable girl are awakened by the arrival of 'the boy' from beyond the gate.

Spinning The Round Table 2005 written by Lewis Davies, directed by Chris Morgan.
Takes the love triangle from the heart of the Arthurian Legend and sets it firmly in the cut-throat political world of the 21st Century. With his wife Gwen at his side, new President, Arthur has been swept to power on a wave of popularity, promising a new vision for the future. With First Minister Lawrence D’lac in place the new administration faces a barrage of media attention. Attempting to control the flow of information to the press is Director of Communication, Morgan Carter. But does Morgan have political ambitions of his own?

Paul Robeson Knew My Father 2004 written by Greg Cullen, directed by Chris Morgan.
Gethyn reflects on his childhood growing up in the South Wales Valleys. He remembers his search for his father, against the backdrop of the 1950's. Where he retreated into a world dominated by Robeson's films and music, away from the secrets and lies that surround his identity! This play makes a welcome return as Hijinx tour one of their most successful plays in a brand new production.

Buffalo Bill 2003 written by Paul Conway, directed by Chris Morgan.

Explores the impact that the Wild West Roadshow had on three generations of a Cardiff family. Billy is meeting Grandpa for the first time. Dai captivates the young boy with stories of life " 'neath the starry sky", conjuring tales of Annie Oakley, Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane and Buffalo Bill.

Dreaming Amelia 2002 written by Sharon Morgan, directed by Chris Morgan.
Coming from a poverty stricken background and suffering from a lack of education, Betty is a young girl who expresses her frustrations through dance. While dancing on the beach at Burry Port she is approached by the striking figure of Amelia Earhart who is enthralled by Betty's grace and beauty as she dances. This life-changing meeting takes Betty on an exciting journey to 1930's glitzy America where the streets are paved with gold, but will Betty be happy living the "high life?"

Ill Met By Moonlight 2001 written by Charles Way, directed by Kevin Lewis.
Set on the border of Wales and England at a time, not so long ago, when country people believed in fairie-folk. A descendant of Puck still roams the countryside causing mayhem and madness wherever he goes. By his shape-changing interference he attempts to thwart the course of true love between two country folk. The results of his malicious meddling are often hilarious and sometimes tragic. Will he be triumphant or will true love shine through?

A powerful, funny and quirky play. A young girl lost in the jungle and raised by chimpanzees is returned to her home in the South Wales Valleys ten years later - with hilarious and heartwrenching consequences!
